Chisel, cut, hammer, sand, bend, and pound materials into three-dimensional pieces of art. Learn to work with different types of materials including wood, clay, stone, plaster, wire, and steel.
Transform sheet metal and found objects into striking three-dimensional art. Designed to help cultivate students’ personal vision as a sculptor. This course encourages experimentation with texture, scale, and spatial relationships. Students will learn how to MIG weld, as well as explore using a variety of metalworking tools and techniques, such as forming sheet metal into three dimensional objects. During this course students will harness the essential principles of design and balance as they bring their original steel and mixed-media creations to life.
