Ages 14 – 16 or those entering 9 – 11 grade
Teen Application Checklist
- Two Samples of creative work, performance materials, or creative writing (.jpeg, .pdf, or YouTube links uploaded to application)
- Short Answer Questions
- Teacher Recommendation
Speak with a teacher of your choice who you feel knows you and ask them please to complete form on your behalf and email it to summer@putneyschool.org - $100 non-refundable fee will be collected at the end of the application.
- $500 deposit (refundable through March 1) will be collected at the end of the application.
More About Our Teen Application
Before you start your teen program application, please be sure that you have read and understand the information in the Teen Program Overview , which contain important financial details, expectations and timelines. Additionally, please be sure to review the Dates, Rates & Financial Aid Policies.
We have a rolling admissions process. Applications are processed in the order that we receive them and most workshops cap out between 6 and 12 students. We strongly recommend that you submit the application early (starting as early as November 1) so that we can try and place the participant in one of their top workshops(s) choices. In the application your student will select their top three workshops. They will be placed in workshops based on availability. As the application process moves forward in the year, some workshops will reach their max. When this occurs, we will remove these workshop choices from the drop down menus. If you do not see a workshop listed on our online application, please feel free to add these in the waitlist section.

Before you start your registration, please be sure that you have read and understand the information in the Adult Program Overview, which contain important financial details, expectations and timelines. Additionally, please be sure to review the Dates, Rates & Cancellation Policies.
