Life Outside Of Workshops & Residential Life
Outside of the chosen workshops, students gather and engage with one another and faculty in both organized and informal settings. Activities and events include student and faculty performances, Afternoon Activities, Evening Arts, dances, and an overnight camping trip (3-Week Session only), and more. These shared experiences help students recharge, strengthen friendships, and discover new ways to challenge themselves.
Life Outside Of Workshops
Residential Life On Campus

Afternoon Activities
Each student will join an Afternoon Activity after workshops, enjoying a range of fun and relaxing options. Students may choose to play volleyball, swim in our pond, participate in field games, or join a yoga session. They can also play lively board games or read quietly while others gather in their chosen activities. Each option offers something different, giving everyone a chance to unwind, connect, and enjoy the afternoon in their own way.

Evenings
In the evening students will enjoy shorter activities, artist talks, and open studio time. The Evening Arts program offers students the opportunity to continue to develop their skills from one of their main workshops or select an entirely different art form.

Weekends
Weekend events and field trips are planned to capitalize on our commitment to the arts, the Vermont landscape, and our dedication to creating a memorable experience. Students enjoy dorm activities, all-campus field trips, faculty presentations, fiction and poetry readings, dances, open studio time, a film festival, and other local activities.

Overnight Camping
During our 3-Week Session students will need to bring a sleeping bag for an overnight camping trip to one of several campsites on campus. This is a great opportunity for the community to connect with nature, and each other, as they set up their campsites, prepare meals over a fire, enjoy s’mores together and play games to pass the time. There will be time for deepening friendships, bonding with new people, and self reflecting.
