You’ll get to know a lot about locally grown foods and learn to cook with a wide variety of ingredients that you’ll combine to prepare all sorts of wonderful dishes and specialties in our wood-fired oven. Participants in the morning Farm workshop harvest the vegetables that you’ll cook in the afternoon.

Students will learn basic cooking, baking and fermentation techniques. Through hands-on learning we will explore seasonality, preservation, culture and address food waste. Students will spend time harvesting ingredients from the kitchen garden and using sensory evaluations to understand herbs and their role in creating flavor profiles.  We will analyze recipes, and students will modify these to create an individualized final project based on their interpretation.
